PMA’s Wolf Geisler Earns LEED™ Accreditation

November 12, 2004 --- CALGARY. Poon McKenzie Architects is proud to announce that effective October 8, 2004, Wolf Geisler, Senior Architectural Designer, has successfully become a LEED™ 2.0 Accredited Professional.

LEED™ Accreditation is awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council and supported by the Canadian Green Building Council, based on successful completion of an accreditation program culminating with an exam. The program focuses on knowledge and application of environmentally sustainable design and construction techniques.

"Completing the LEED™ program has allowed me a make a closer examination of links between architecture and the environment," said Wolf, B.A, B.ARCH, MAIBC, LEED™ AP. "In order for architecture to be successful in the long term in today’s world, it must respond not only to our personal needs, but to the needs of the planet on which we depend."

Wolf Geisler’s accreditation will allow him to represent Poon McKenzie Architects on architectural projects that strive for LEED™ registration and/or require an accredited professional on the design team.
